Game Setup:

  1. Select Your Region(s):
    Players choose the region(s) tied to their target language (e.g., Spanish – Spain, Mexico, Argentina; French – France, Canada, Senegal).
  2. Choose a Play Mode:
    • Co-op Mode: Work together to score points by answering correctly.
    • Duel Mode: Compete to see who knows more about the culture.
  3. Language Option:
    Players can choose to play:
    • In their target language (for more advanced learners).
    • In their native language (for cultural immersion without language barriers).

Gameplay:

Rounds:

The quiz consists of multiple rounds, each focusing on a different cultural category:

  1. Traditions & Customs:
    • Questions about holidays, traditional clothing, or social etiquette.
      • Example: “What is celebrated on Día de los Muertos in Mexico?” (Answer: Honoring deceased loved ones.)
  2. Food & Drinks:
    • Identify regional dishes or answer trivia about culinary traditions.
      • Example: “Which country is famous for the dish ‘paella’?” (Answer: Spain.)
  3. History & Geography:
    • Test knowledge of historical events, landmarks, or geography.
      • Example: “Which French monument is nicknamed the ‘Iron Lady’?” (Answer: The Eiffel Tower.)
  4. Pop Culture & Media:
    • Questions about famous musicians, movies, or sports.
      • Example: “Which Brazilian soccer player is nicknamed ‘O Rei’ (The King)?” (Answer: Pelé.)
  5. Language Fun:
    • Explore idioms, proverbs, or unique expressions from the target culture.
      • Example: “What does the French idiom ‘avoir le cafard’ mean?” (Answer: Feeling blue/sad.)
  6. Surprise Round:
    • A mix of all categories, possibly including audio or image-based questions.

Scoring:

  • Earn points for each correct answer. Bonus points for streaks or speed.
  • In Co-op Mode, work together to reach a high combined score.
  • In Duel Mode, the player with the most points wins.

Interactive Features:

  1. Visual and Audio Enhancements:
    • Include images (e.g., landmarks, foods) and audio clips (e.g., music, traditional greetings) for immersive learning.
